Before clicking play, imagine that you are working at Macy's. Then, along comes this guy, Mr. Bean. He appears to be an innocent shopper. As an employee, you have no idea that he is absolutely clueless and in-adept to modern behavior. How would you react if you saw his actions from afar? Would you help this poor man out? Or would you hide in disgust and fear of what he would pull out of his suit next? Having worked in retail before, I witnessed many customers that are not "in-tune" with shopping behavior. However, these are still customers and are still spending money for the products you sell. You can not discriminate or push away shoppers like this. After all, who are you to judge how and why they use certain products. Meanwhile, the way that he tests out the products are inappropriate for public. If he buys the item, then no harm found. However, as with the toothbrush.....no comment.
After watching this video, think about Mr. Bean's mute actions and how he appears to be such an unusual and inappropriate shopper through nonverbal cues alone.
